This is a pretty good special, especially since you usually have all the core buildings in your capital anyways. The first of two Roman special units in Civilization V is the Ballista, which replaces the Catapult as a much more powerful siege weapon. The second Roman unit is the Legion, which is a unique Swordsman unit that is not only more powerful, but can also build roads and forts as well.

In some ways the Honor Policy matches Rome's history and in other ways it doesn't. In our research we have discovered some flaws with the games ability to stay with the history. based on the knowledge that we have acquired regarding the Romans we believe that their history culture wise is not accurate. According our knowledge the Romans had a huge jump ahead of other civilizations not just in the military sense but also technologically. After playing this game as the Romans for a little while we think that the Romans only have significant dominance in the militaristic sense. Also the game does not actually show how civilian life was and the Romans practically revolutionized the human life with creations such as the aqueduct and also the Romans completely changed the way sanitation was viewed. The social policy of honor only shows that the Romans were dominant from a militaristic standpoint. It gives a bonus vs barbarians which the Romans did have to face. The social policy of honor also gives the Romans a great general. This is consistent with real life since the Romans are famous for many great generals. All in all the social policy of honor is consistent with how things happened in real life from a militaristic point of view while the game still does not show what happens civilian wise and it does not show all of the technological advancements.
