Order Policy - CommunismIn Civilization 5, adopting Order Policy increases happiness by +1, as well as raising others' possessions like +2 Production. After the fall of the Qing Dynasty, the nation saw their worst nightmares as the people were without an authority to rule their country. The period of warlordism in China lasted from 1916 to 1927 when warlords fought against each other regardless of common ideas or purpose. Meanwhile the principles of communism began to spread throughout the country and those ideas attracted a majority of the people. After being under the rule of warlords around 1916, many Chinese began joining revolutionary groups and political parties in hopes of changing their country. During and after the Great Revolution (1914—1918), China saw several movements, which strongly fostered a path into Communism. Communism began as a movement that paved the way for the liberation of the proletariat. So it actually creates happiness and satisfaction for the proletariat class and the society. This is an example of the accuracy of the game compared to the real civilization.

Order Policy - NationalismIn Civilization 5, adopting order policy makes you increase 25% attack, and order policy brings back nationalism. Order in the army means that soldiers fight as hard as they can and would sacrifice themselves for the King. All of the soldiers were willing to do anything for their king. They would never betray the king or support an uprising rule to the country. Due to the order in the army, the Chinese Dynasty had control of Vietnam ( from 200 B.C - Han Dynasty to about 800 A.C) for a thousand years without being overthrown. Nationalism created the perfect army for China. They could do it at that time because China at that time had a lot of clever people that chose to be leaders. The soldiers always obeyed orders and found honor in serving their country.

Order Policy - Planned EconomyIn the game, Planned Economy is another part of the social policy Order. It helps by increasing factories, cities, and science output by 25%. Throughout China's history factory building is sometimes at the expense of the workers, even if it's good to build factories in the game Civilization 5. Chinese companies are routinely shortchanging their workings, and with holding benefits from them such as healthcare. In some Chinese factories it was bad for your health because they were exposing citizens to dangerous machinery and harmful chemicals. Chinese workers sometimes start working as young as sixteen years old. Although, in Civilization 5 it might help the science output, this is not always a benefit in real Chinese factories.

Order Policy - Socialism Chinese socialism is the unique form of socialism and socialist thought to have developed in China in the modern era. Dr. Sun Yatsen – the creator defined his principle in socialism by saying in his last days "it's socialism and it's communism". The concept may be understood as social welfare as well. Sun understood it as an industrial economy and equality of land holdings for the Chinese peasant farmers. The land value tax in Taiwan is a legacy thereof. He divided livelihood into four areas: food, clothing, housing, and transportation; and planned out how an ideal (Chinese) government can take care of its people. In the game, adopting Socialism Policy maintains gold and reduces the cost of Building by 15%. This is an example of the similarity between the game and the real civilization.
